Latest Update: List of Approved JAMB CBT Centres for UTME 2018 Registration Released!!

This is to inform the general public all Nigerian Students  that the management of the joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) Has released the list of Approved JAMB CBT Centres for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration have been released.

However, the exact exam centre for each candidate will be indicated on the original registration slip or the re-printed slip.

Please note that the 2018 UTME registration has not officially commenced. This is just to help you know the closest CBT centre where you can process your UTME Registration when it finally begins.

Fed Poly Nekede S.J.C First Procession Report!!

The students Judiciary Council (S. J. C) of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Chapter after the election and swearing in  of members have embarked on their two (2) hours Procession round the entire school Campus.

 

The students Judiciary Council (S.J.C) Is made up of Judges and Senators representing Different departments in the Federal Polytechnic Nekede.. it also consist of the Chamber heads and secretaries of the all the Law Chambers in Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

The Functions of the S.J.C In the Polytechnic can never be over emphasized. Such Functions includes;

  1.  Protection of Students Right.
  2. Solicitation of peace in between the students and management.
  3. Maintenance of Peace and harmony in the polytechnic.
  4. Defending and Advocating for Nigerian Students.
  5. Presiding over students cases such as rape, sexual abuse/harassment, Extortion and exploitation among student and others.

  1. Returning students must either pay new the current section school fees or make use of the Immediate past section school fees.
  2. Newly admitted  students must Pay their acceptance fee and school fees before they can purchase their hostel form.
  3. After purchasing the hostel form,  students are to wait for The Hostel Admission List to be released for them to know the particular hostel they are been admitted into and the particular room.
  4. Students are to know that if there is any break in the school, all students staying in the school hostel will be asked to vacate the Hostel after the stipulated time expires.

Brief Historical Background Of Federal Polytechnic Nekede

Federal Polytechnic, Nekede is a federal government-owned higher institution located in Nekede, a town in Imo State, South-Eastern Nigeria. It currently has five falculties which are : School of Engineering Technology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Industrial and Applied Sciences, School of Environmental Design and Technology and School of Business Management Technology. Federal Polytechnic, Nekede also offer part time programs.

 

History of Federal polytechnic Nekede

The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede is a federal government-owned higher institution located in Nekede, Imo State. It was established in 1978 by the Federal Government  Of Nigeria as Federal  College of Technology Owerri on a temporary site at the premise of Government Technical College, Owerri.

It was later moved to its present location in Nekede. On 7 April 1993, the polytechnic was changed to a federal government institution and was renamed “The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede”.

Officials of NIPOGA visits Federal Polytechnic Nekede shows encomium on the Rector and Management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

Officials of NIPOGA games were full of praise for the Rector and the management team of Federal Polytechnic Nekede when they visited Rector in her office. Sir Samuel Ogbuli of Federal Polytechnic Oko thanked the Rector for her hospitality towards them. He said that he is amazed at the quantum of development in the school. Sir Ogbuli said that Rector has made indelible mark in Nigeria as she has positioned the school as one of the best in the country. In his own remark comrade Okafor Uchenna of Federal polytechnic Oko reminded the audience that the Rector has shown that women can equals men in leadership and even do better and urged the Rector to continue in her quest to develop the school and create a conducive environment for academic excellence.

Continuing Okafor said he visited Fedponek in 1992 when he came back he saw many projects going on and to his amazement all have been completed. He praised the school for having the best medical facilities among other polytechnics with full surgery department. He charged the rector to find a way to elevate the polytechnic to fully fledged university as it has the infrastructure to accommodate a university. Contributing Mr. Jude Ejakpomeri praise the rector of Fedpoly Oko for her leadership style and also thanked the principal officers for helping the rector build a reputable institution. In his speech the Deputy Rector Academics Barrister M.C Chukwuma said that the school has adequate facilities, water, tight security and Owerri is a beautiful city. He advised them to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship, as in every sport there must be a winner and looser vice versa. Continuing he said that there should be no win at all cost and competition is natural in life and should not end.
The Rector of the school Dr. Mrs. Cele U. Njoku thanked them and promised to make their stay in the school memorable. Fed Poly Nekede Rector Mrs C.U Njoku Make Comment On JAMB New Admission System For The School!!

The management of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, ,Owerri, Imo state Under the leadership of Dr Mrs C.U Njoku have recently made a comment concerning the New  Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) Admission system for tertiary institutions across the country. She stated that the new JAMB Admission system for 2017/2018 academic session is now very digitized and have made a lot of schools to delay in their admission processes.

 

According to her speech , she said, Jamb 2017 will be hard compared to JAMB written so far. The new JAMB syllabus will be approved this year. Any aspirant reading JAMB past questions should stop and purchase JAMB’s new brochure. It was also announced that each candidate will put a good passport photograph not black and white and thumb print before entering examination centres. It was also announced that result will be sent to each candidate 9 hours after exam via e-mail. Ensure to register with a correct e-mail during registration. 2017 JAMB registration will last for one month, starting from the 20th of March till the 19th of April.

Direct entry registration begins shortly after. Examination questions will vary per candidate. Candidates who score above 250 will gain merit admission by JAMB into the institution of choice. 2017 JAMB CBT will last 3 years for candidates with a score of 200 and above Scholarship may be awarded to candidates with a score of 280 and above in various institutions for a 4-year degree program.
